No outsourcing: you always know who builds your software

Outsourcing has a specific meaning. A company takes your project and contracts the work out to somebody else. A third party you did not pick, did not interview, and have no agreement with.

We don’t do that. Everyone who works on your project works for us.

Why it is worth asking about

Plenty of firms sell you a team and then buy that team from a vendor. You will not usually find that on the website, so it is a question to ask before you sign anything. Ask who employs the people writing the code, and ask for the answer in writing.

It matters because accountability follows the work. When the build sits with a subcontractor, the company you hired is passing your questions down a chain and passing answers back up it. Context gets lost at every step. Dates slip and nobody in the chain owns the slip. And if the project fails, it fails with your name on it, not theirs.

Who is actually on your project

Two founders, and both of us stay on the project from the first call to handover. Honza Musil, our CTO, takes the technical direction and the architecture. Dominisha Musil, our COO, runs delivery and operations. Behind us is our own engineering team.

There is no account manager in the middle. The people you meet are the people accountable for the result, and they are the people you call when something is wrong.

Where we work

We have two offices. One is in Pompano Beach, Florida, and one is in the Czech Republic. Roughly half the engineering team sits in each. Both are our offices and both are staffed by our own employees.

The Czech team works mainly on our own products rather than on client projects.

We are not going to tell you that the time difference means your build moves while you sleep. That is a nice line and it is not how the work is organized here. What the second office does give us is depth of team, and people who have worked together for years rather than a bench assembled for your project.

What no outsourcing does not mean

This post used to carry the title "100% made in the USA". That claimed more than the facts support, so it is gone.

Employing your own people in your own office is not outsourcing. Outsourcing is contracting the work to a third party, and that is the thing we do not do. Both statements are true at once: we do not outsource, and we are not entirely US based. The old title only admitted one of them.

The distinction that is worth anything to you is not a flag. It is whether the company you signed with is the company doing the work.

What you get in writing

• An MSA plus a statement of work for each project. Standard terms are available on request.
• Scope and price fixed and signed before work starts.
• General liability and professional liability insurance. We will send a certificate if you ask.
• Full repository transfer and deployment documentation at handover, so your own team can maintain what we built whether or not you keep working with us. No lock-in.

That last one is the part most buyers forget to ask about, and it is the part that decides how much room you have later. You own the deliverables on final payment.

The short version

We do not subcontract your project. You will know the names of the people building your software, and you will be able to reach them.
