For whoever has to sign off on this
How we engage
What working with us looks like: how the engagement is staged, what the contract covers, and what you own when it is done.
Engagement model
We work in three stages. Each one is a separate, priced engagement, not a phase of a bigger retainer. You can stop after any of them.
- 1 Discovery
Paid, fixed fee. Produces a working prototype, a written scope, and a firm quote for the build. If you move forward, the fee is credited against the build.
- 2 Build
Fixed scope, fixed price, agreed and signed before work starts.
- 3 Support
Optional. Ongoing changes and fixes after the build ships, billed monthly.
Starting prices for each stage are on the pricing page.
Contracts
Every engagement runs under a Master Service Agreement (MSA) that covers the relationship, plus a project-specific Statement of Work (SOW) that covers scope, price and timeline for that engagement. The SOW is what gets signed before work starts. Standard terms are available on request.
IP and handover
This is the part most vendors bury in an appendix. We put real weight on it because it is the reason to choose a fixed-price build over an agency retainer or waiting on an internal team: when the build is done, it is actually yours.
- You own it on final payment
On final payment for a build, you own the software outright: the code, the configuration and the assets that make it run. There is nothing to license back from us.
- Full repository transfer
The code lives in a repository you control, or is transferred to one, with its full history intact.
- Deployment documentation
Written documentation for how the system is built and deployed, so another developer, in-house or otherwise, can pick it up without us in the room.
Security and data handling
Available on request. Ask us on the scoping call.
Insurance
We carry general liability and professional liability (errors and omissions) insurance. A certificate of insurance is available on request.
What we need from you
A build moves at the speed of decisions. We need a single decision maker who can approve scope changes, access to the people who actually do the work today, and any credentials or system access agreed in the SOW. Where those are slow, the schedule moves.
